Our Philosophy
Our Philosophy
In Westside Community Schools, the library is a vital and integral hub of the school, regardless of its physical location, and as a result, reflects the philosophy and goals of the school and the district. The librarian serves as an instructional partner with the classroom teacher to teach students to be "critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers and ethical users of information" (AASL, 2009).
